Description

The Maple Air IDU 50K is a residential in-duct air purification unit powered by Pür Plasma™ technology, formerly branded as AIRPHX. Designed for whole-home protection, it installs directly into existing HVAC ductwork to continuously disinfect both airborne and surface contaminants. The system generates natural oxidizing molecules from ambient air to neutralize pathogens at a cellular level without requiring filters or chemical refills. 

Key Features

The IDU 50K is engineered for rapid deployment and broad coverage within residential settings. It measures 6.3" x 5.3" x 11.5" and can be installed into HVAC ductwork in under 15 minutes. A single unit is sufficient to treat an entire home HVAC system, covering up to 5,000 square feet (50,000 cubic feet).

The system operates by generating oxidizing molecules, including gas-phase hydrogen peroxide, from ambient air. These molecules eradicate pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, and mold. It emits these substances at levels safe for occupied spaces—specifically less than 1/100th of OSHA’s eight-hour exposure limit. The unit is UL 2998 certified, ensuring it produces zero measurable ozone, and requires only a plasma core refresh every two years.
